TWILIGHT WALK AT DOWNS FARM (Cutchogue)
Wednesday, August 30, 7:00-8:00pm
Registration required.
Group for the East End will guide a 1-mile full moon walk through the preserve. According to “The Old Farmer’s Almanac,” August’s full moon is also called the “Sturgeon Moon” and received its name from the Algonquin tribes in eastern North America who knew it as the time when this large fish was abundant. Flashlight or headlamp suggested.
Meet at the Preserve: 23800 Main Rd, Cutchogue.
