Early Spring Bird Walk at Orient Beach State Park

Saturday, March 21, 10-11:30am

Registration required. 

Join Naturalist MaryLaura Lamont as we find birds that stayed through the cold winter along our beach shores, salt marshes and sea waters. We will observe long tailed ducks, buffleheads, various scoters, loons and gulls and perhaps shorebirds. We may be lucky enough to sight the year’s first returning ospreys but also the last remaining snow buntings before they migrate to the high Artic. Roundtrip walk 1.5 miles. Meet at the Snack Bar. Dress warm as needed. Rain or snow cancels this program.
